1. What Is a Chambon? The Chambon is ideal for horses who tend to be tense or hollow through the back. Designed to create poll pressure, a chambon encourages the horse to lower its head, which engages the hindquarters and strengthens the horse's back. Using this product, you can teach your horse to yeild at the poll and stretch his head and neck down forward. While this product is not a "quick fix" to set your horse's head, it will help develop and correct topline and back muscles!
2. How Does It Work? A Chambon is designed to run from the girth or the bottom of a surcingle, forks about halfway, and rings around the horse's head at the base of the ears. The Chambon continues through the rings, follows the direction of the cheek pieces, and then attaches to the bit ring.
3. How Is It Used? Chambons are traditionally used with a lunge line, but can be used while riding as well!
